Established in 2015, Trench Town Polytechnic College (TTPC) stands as Jamaica’s first full polytechnic institution of higher education, built from the transformation of Trench Town High and Charlie Smith High Schools.
TTPC’s mission is to serve as a community-driven hub for technical, vocational, and academic development — offering accessible, affordable education aligned with Jamaica’s labor market demands.
Guided by principles of hands-on learning, agility in programme offerings, and holistic student support, TTPC operates as a true workforce college. Its programmes respond to industry demands — adapting when new skills are needed in sectors like electronics, allied health, hospitality, logistics, or creative industries.
Though many students come from Trench Town and nearby communities, TTPC welcomes learners from across Jamaica, including St. Thomas, Clarendon, St. Catherine, and rural St. Andrew.
As an institution registered with the University Council of Jamaica, TTPC is committed to upholding quality, accountability, and evolving standards in education.
