WE ARE HIRING – CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Location: Kingston, Jamaica

We are recruiting a Chief Accountant on behalf of our client based in Kingston.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification in ACCA, CPA or ACA preferred.
• Minimum seven years progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in inventory intensive environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across the Accounts Department.
• Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Review inventory adjustments, write-offs and stock variances.
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
