American International School of Kingston (AISK)

The American International School of Kingston (AISK) is an independent Preschool through Grade 12 school that embraces a US-based and international education culminating in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.

We are seeking to fill the following position in July 2027:

Middle/High School (MSHS) Principal

Qualification Requirements & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration OR an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • At least 8–10 years as an Educational Administrator.
  • Experience with Curriculum Development and Instructional Development including AERO.
  • Knowledge of STEM and all IT required to fulfil the project-based assignments.
  • Knowledge of STRONGE Model for evaluation and appraisal.
  • International educational experience a plus.
  • IB (where applicable) and STEM proficiency a must.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Confined To:

  • Ensuring that academic programs at all grade levels are thriving.
  • Establishing and promoting high standards and expectations for all students and staff for responsibility for behavior.
  • Monitoring students’ progress on assessments and standardized testing.
  • Supervising the instructional programs, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis.
  • Reviewing daily schedules to maximize learning time.
  • Building on and sustaining the vision of the School.
