A well-known and respected life insurance salesman Chester saw the birth of New West Indian Mutual & General Assurance Co Ltd (NEWIM). The company obtained its life insurance license in 2007 and underwent a name change in 2008, becoming NEWIM Life & General Assurance Co. Ltd.

In 2016 the company restructured its operations and rebranded under the name Antillean Group. Today, Antillean Group remains dedicated to ensuring the commitment given by NEWIM Life & General Assurance Co. Ltd to its clients and employees is met.
