Solar Technician – Javsco Consulting

Javsco Consulting is seeking a reliable and motivated Solar Technician to assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of solar energy systems. This role suits someone with hands-on technical skills and a passion for renewable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with residential and commercial solar PV installations.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar panels, inverters and related equipment.
• Help identify and resolve system faults and performance issues.
• Complete work safely in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Support the lead technician and team as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an asset.
• Previous solar PV installation or electrical experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and solar technology; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s licence is an asset.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit.
