Lead Solar Technician – Javsco Consulting

Javsco Consulting is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Solar Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of solar energy systems. The role requires a certified electrician to ensure electrical work meets safety standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate solar technicians and support staff.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot residential and commercial solar PV systems.
• Ensure electrical work complies with local codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations.
• Manage project timelines, materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service reports, installations and inventory.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure the team follows safety procedures.

Requirements

• Certified electrician with valid certification and/or licence.
• At least three years of hands-on experience as a solar technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV and electrical systems, relevant codes and standards.
• Leadership and team-management experience, or willingness to take on a leadership role.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s licence is an asset.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well under pressure.
