Description:

Founded in September 1994, Totally Male opened its doors on November 28, in approximately 900 sq ft. space, at Upper Montrose Ave, Kingston 5. Starting with a compliment of 3 staff members, Totally Male’s objectives is to create a space only for men to groom themselves from head to toe without feeling that they are effeminate. There was nowhere that focused on men’s grooming needs, most places were unisex which really means a woman’s place that allow men. With a passion & admiration for well groomed, professional men it was really a no brainer for us, as we enjoyed it thoroughly. Totally Male operates also as a fashion/grooming consultant. The Spa area is the core of the business and we offer a range of services including Hair Grooming, Manicure and Pedicure, Facial, Hot Stone Massage, Therapeutic & Deep Tissue Massage and Reflexology. We also do boys haircuts from 1 year old upward. We carry a range of male beauty products. We have expanded over the years and operate with a female staff compliment of 13-15 persons, and we have expanded our services to include Corporate Jamaica, Tertiary Institutions & High Schools offering grooming courses and pop-up day spa for their staff members and students respectively. Our client list boasts some of Jamaica’s A-List individuals and their sons and many other VIP’s in their own right. Every client of ours is on their way to success and as it starts with proper grooming we consider ourselves an essential service. Our current database has approximately 3500 clients; however, we serve approximately 700-1000 persons monthly. We are now located at 6 Windsor Avenue, Kingston 5. Totally Male’s owner Sandra Samuels copped one of the top awards in 2009 for The Pioneers of Prosperity Award for the Caribbean Region. She also went on to win National Commercial Bank Nation Builders Award 2009 for women in business. In 2011 Totally Male Limited won Spa of the Year (Men). Currently Totally Male is a member of the Private Sector of Jamaica and The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce. She is a past President of the St. Andrew North Rotary Club and currently on the management committee of the Heart College of Beauty Services.
