Job Description

Summary of Role:

As a Network Systems Administrator, you will be required to organize, install and support an organization’s computer systems. These include local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and other data communication systems such as intranets or internet cafés within their company. System Administrators are also responsible for managing, troubleshooting and proactively updating hardware and software assets to prevent downtime or zero-day exploits from occurring.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and configure software and hardware as required by clients.
• Set up user accounts and workstations.
• Troubleshoot issues and network/system outages.
• Ensure system security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Build/Expand on an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
• 5+ CXC/GCE Passes, including:
  • English
  • Information Technology
  • Mathematics

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA A+, Network+ and/or Security+ would be a plus.
