St. Kitts Solid Waste Management Corporation is a federally mandated corporation established in 1996 with general
responsibilities for overseeing the management of solid waste collection and disposal systems.
Governed by a Board of Directors, the SWMC is managed by a dedicated team of individuals and staffed with superheroes.
We collect, transport, transfer, process, separate, store, reuse, recycle, treat and dispose of waste. We are headquartered at the
Taylors Range in Basseterre. Our landfill, however, is located on the outskirts of Conaree. The Saint Christopher and Nevis Solid Waste Management Corporation were established under section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Solid Waste Management Corporation Act, 1996. Commonly referred to as the SWMC, the corporation is guided by the amended Solid Waste Management Act, 2009 Specialty hours are Land Fill Monday to Saturday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
