How to apply for a Jamaican birth certificate online

Registrar General's Department

Please have the following information ready to complete your online Birth application form:

Full and correct name of individual
Individual’s Date of Birth
Birth Entry Number
(if you do not have access to your birth entry number, a search can be made at any RGD location)
Individual’s Sex: Male or Female
Mother’s Name
Father’s Name

STEP 1:

Visit the RGD website https://www.rgd.gov.jm/index.php/application-forms

STEP 2:

Select apply now or click the following link: https://apps2.rgd.gov.jm/web/birth/lay_birthApplication.cfm

STEP 3:

Complete the application and then press “Submit Application” at the bottom.

STEP 4:

Confirm information submitted is accurate.

STEP 5:

Select service type

STEP 6:

Select payment method

STEP 7:

Submit application
