The Hummingbird Restaurant is seeking a dedicated, creative and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen and deliver exceptional Jamaican cuisine and memorable experiences for every guest.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to cook Jamaican breakfast and lunch dishes well meeting the needs of new and existing customers.
• Must be able to make soup everyday.
• Must be reliable. Capable to have breakfast ready at 7am.
• Must be creative in menu options.
• Must be economical and resourceful.
• Must be able to cook for large number of people. Min 50 people.
• Must monitor goods and provide list in a timely manner.
• Must be clean in able to maintain a clean environment.
• Must love to cook.
• Must be able to create and maintain good relationship with customers.
• Must have customer service experience.
• Must be able to communicate menu to customers.
• Must be able to report to work on time.
• Must be able to pre-prep for days ahead to ensure orders are done in a timely manner. Must be able to delegate to other kitchen staff in a clear, respectful and timely manner.
• Must be honest and a team player.
