Shadow/Caregiver Needed for Grade 2 Student

SHADOW/CAREGIVER NEEDED

For September 2026

To support a bright student entering Grade 2.

Requirements

• Must be between 18 and 58 years old
• Must have at least a Grade 9 level education
• Must hold certification in one of the following areas:
  • Early Childhood Education
  • General Health Care
  • Teacher’s Assistant Training
  • Social Work, Nursing or a related field
• Must be willing to attend Ministry training sessions
• Must be available during school hours and committed to supporting the student throughout the school day

Duties Include

• Assisting the student with classwork
• Supporting learning and participation in activities
• Helping with organization, focus and transitions
• Providing supervision during breaks and school activities
• Working collaboratively with teachers and parents
• Supporting the student’s overall development and independence
• Performing any other related duties assigned by the supervisor

A caring, reliable and dedicated individual is needed to serve as a shadow/caregiver for a seven-year-old student entering Grade 2 at Hammersmith Preparatory School in Bounty Hall, Trelawny.
