Shelter Program Coordinator

Organization: Samaritan’s Purse International Relief
Location: Mandeville

The Shelter Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating construction activities within the Shelter Program and ensuring that projects are monitored and executed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction and rehabilitation work across multiple sites.
• Review structural assessments and approved Bills of Quantities before work begins.
• Monitor the performance of construction workers and contractors.
• Verify the quantities of labour and materials used during project implementation.
• Ensure contractor estimates and labour rates are consistent with local market standards.
• Confirm that construction work aligns with approved designs, Bills of Quantities and structural guidance.

Requirements

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him.
• Diploma in Construction, Engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in the field.
• Experience supervising construction workers or contractors.
• Working knowledge of construction standards and practices.
