QUANTITY ESTIMATOR

Job Description:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new construction, renovations, repairs and rehabilitation projects.
• Review architectural, structural and other construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs and schedules of quantities.
• Review quotations, bids and cost submissions received from contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor construction expenditure against approved budgets and estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Technology, or Civil Engineering.
• Training or certification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Estimating would be an asset.
• At least three (3) years’ relevant experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, and construction cost management.
