RAMP MANAGER

Montego Bay, Jamaica

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ramp Manager to lead our ramp operation in Montego Bay. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and on-time aircraft handling while delivering exceptional service to our airline customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Ramp Operations
Manage day-to-day ramp activities to ensure safe, efficient and on-time aircraft handling in line with airline requirements and company standards.

Manpower & Resource Management
Plan, roster and deploy ramp manpower effectively. Monitor attendance, overtime and productivity to ensure adequate coverage and cost control.

GSE & Operational Readiness
Ensure adequate, serviceable ground support equipment (GSE) is available, positioned and ready to support the operation.

Safety & Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety, security, aviation and company policies and procedures.

Airline Performance & Service
Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, address issues, implement corrective actions and maintain strong relationships with airline representatives.

People Leadership
Lead, coach and develop Ramp Duty Managers, Supervisors and employees. Ensure accountability, performance management and a positive working environment.

Financial & Cost Management
Manage ramp operations within budget, monitor labour costs, overtime and productivity, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Provide accurate reports, analyze performance data, drive continuous improvement and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in airport ground handling or airline ramp operations with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Proven experience in managing a ramp operation or business unit.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft handling, turnaround processes and ramp procedures.
• Experience in manpower planning, rostering and resource allocation.
• Understanding of GSE requirements and maintenance considerations.
• Experience in operational performance management, budgeting and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain and maintain all required airport permits.
• Flexible to work in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and public holidays.
