SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Build business through strong customer relationships and drive sales growth across our product portfolio.

The Sales Representative is responsible for building business by selling goods to customers and maintaining relationships with key clients. The role involves identifying new sales opportunities and markets, ensuring excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Service customers by visiting them on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
• Take customer inventory, write new orders at the time of visit, obtain approval and ensure delivery of goods on the day requested.
• Deliver statements to customers within one week of receiving from Credit Control or the Sales Manager.
• Collect payments (cash on cash sales) on accounts.
• Collect damaged or expired goods and submit details to the Sales Manager for verification and approval.
• Perform regular scheduled visits (as per route sheet) and prepare weekly reports of visits and activities.
• Introduce new products and provide brochures and literature to customers.
• Communicate promotional offers to customers on every visit.
• Identify new sales opportunities and develop new accounts.
• Attend weekly sales meetings with the Sales Manager/Director.
• Assist in other areas of work as required in support of Company activities.
• Comply with the Company’s CSMS, QHSE and BCMS policies and practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with little or no supervision.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
• Valid driver’s permit.
• Must own a reliable working vehicle and cell phone.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

– Five (5) O’Levels, including English and Mathematics.

OR

– Three (3) to five (5) years working experience in a sales environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
