LIVE-IN CAREGIVER OR NURSING ASSISTANT

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in wound care, e.g. sacral and other pressure ulcers
• Knowledge and ability to care for bedridden or bed-bound patients
• Experience in personal care, including bathing, grooming, feeding and repositioning
• Ability to monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition
• Compassionate, patient, reliable and honest
• Relevant certification or training as a caregiver or nursing assistant is an asset
• Must be over 40 years old
• Two (2) references — employment and character
• Valid ID and updated resume

Main Duties Include

• Provide proper wound care and skin care, including sacral ulcers, pressure sores and other ulcers
• Assist with mobility, transfers and repositioning
• Prepare and assist with meals and hydration
• Provide personal care and support with all activities of daily living
• Monitor and document intake/output and report any changes
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
