Benefits Administrator

The JUTC is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica and owned by the Government of Jamaica (GOJ). Reporting to the Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the JUTC is the exclusive provider of public transit services in the Kingston Metropolitan Transit Region. The Company delivers public transport services seven days a week and, in some instances, up to 14 hours a day.

We therefore invite an organized, efficient and detail-oriented individual to join the JUTC in the role of a Benefits Administrator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• First Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
• At least Three (3) years working experience in a related position

CORE FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Benefits Administrator among other functions will be responsible for the administration of the company’s pension plan, group health, group life and personal accident insurance in addition to coordinating the acquisition and distribution process of uniforms and safety gears.

The successful candidate should also possess:

• Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
• Sound judgement and excellent administration skills
• Good interpersonal and human relations skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of the administration of pension, health and life insurance
• Excellent knowledge of the regulations and legislation affecting employee benefits programmes
• The ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
• The ability to work in a unionized environment
• Good time management skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite
• Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
• The ability to pay keen attention to details

REMUNERATION:
Salary: $5,198,035.00 per annum, payable monthly and related benefits.
