IT OFFICER VACANCY
Home & Things Ltd. is seeking a qualified IT Officer for its Kingston operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to staff regarding hardware, software and network issues.
- Monitor, maintain and update the organization’s website to ensure content accuracy, security and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website and IT-related problems promptly.
- Collaborate with content creators to upload and manage website content.
- Implement security measures to protect organizational data and website integrity.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licences.
- Lead the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Generate reports on website analytics and IT-support activities.
- Install, configure and maintain computer systems, peripherals and software applications.
- Provide user support and training on new technologies and software.
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT team members on projects and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support and website management.
- Knowledge of web-development languages, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with content-management systems such as WordPress and Joomla.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including LAN, WAN and VPN.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are preferred.
