About THE RODNEY MEMORIAL
Designed by English sculptor John Bacon, the Rodney Memorial was built in 1801 in Spanish Town Square. Two cannons on the grounds depict Rodney as a Roman Emperor. It is believed the cannons were from the French flagship and has inscriptions of the motto of King Louis XIV.
