The Jamaica Media Comparisons Study 2016 commissioned by The RJR Communications Group and conducted by Marketing Strategy Limited confirmed that TVJ is the number one television station commanding 69% of all local television viewership overall and almost three quarters [72%] of the free to air television audience. The majority of Jamaican consumers, in each demographic group, choose Television Jamaica as their number one source for news and sports with the Prime Time News and Sports package capturing 8 out of every 10 television viewer [80%]. TVJ is also preferred for various programme genres with the top Morning Show – Smile Jamaica, the top Talk Shows, All Angles and Religious Hard Talk, the top edutainment local programmes, All Together Sing, Schools Challenge Quiz, and Junior Schools Challenge Quiz along with the top Entertainment programmes, Entertainment Report [ER], Rising Stars, Intense and Dancin Dynamites all being aired on the station.
