Description:

Praise Tabernacle arose from the ministry of Registered nurse and certified midwife Jean Clarke who, while working, in the hospitals saw the need to share her faith with patients who needed hope.
Nurse Clarke was driven by a passion to share her faith, gifts and talents with anyone who would listen to her experiences with God. She began ministering all across the island and in 1978 answered the call to enter full time ministry.

Praise Tabernacle was started on April 7, 1996 with a total of twelve persons including six children. The ministry has grown and now is home to more than two hundred adults and more than one hundred children.
As the Church grew and so did its emphasis on evangelizing children, the church began a ministry of ‘Kids Praise, a programme aired for many years on radio. The programme has produced some youth leaders, many of whom are still standing strong in their faith.
Another growth from Praise Tabernacle was Praise Tabernacle Christian Academy, a preparatory school, which started with eight children and has grown exponentially to be providers of elementary education to over six hundred children. This growth has been as a result of the phenomenal success stories, as the school has never had to use media advertising; but instead have had to refuse some entry.
The vision of God through Pastor Jean Clarke is supported by the indomitable Dr. Pastor Palmer charged with the Children and Youth Ministry and Treasurer Pastor Errol Maloney.

Mission Statement:

At Praise Tabernacle, we endevor to worship GOD according to what the Bible teaches. Many scriptures in both old and New Testaments instructs us to sing praises unto GOD. The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise unto the LORD. I Timothy 2:8 states that we should lift up holy hands in worship. In Psalms 47:1 we read that we are to clap our hands ans shout unto GOD with the voice of triump. the Psalm also tells us to play instruments unto the LORD and to worship Him in dance.
