Nurses Association of Jamaica – NAJ

NAJ advances nursing, nurses and health through its policies, partnerships, advocacy, leadership development, networks, congresses and special projects. NAJ has identified three key programmes areas as crucial to the betterment of nursing and health. These are known as NAJ’s Pillars and they are: Professional Practice, Regulation, and Socio-Economic Welfare. The association’s activities are focused in these areas.

OBJECTIVES FOR 2015 – 2017

• Foster camaraderie and co-operation across the profession in collaboration with other stakeholders within Jamaica and the Diaspora.
• Influence policy development, implementatation and evaluation in health and related areas.
• Provide leadership and advocacy for nurses and consumers of health care.
• Improve human resources in health especially across the nursing profession.
