MORANT BAY COURT HOUSE

.

Description:

Destroyed by a fire in 2007, the Morant Bay Court House was the scene of the one of the most pivotal moments in Jamaican History, the Morant Bay Rebellion in 1865.

Very little remains of the historical site except for the brick walls of the structure and the Edna Manley’s statue of National Hero Paul Bogle that stands in front of the courthouse.
