Hyacinth Lightbourne Visiting Nursing Service

The Hyacinth Lightbourne Visiting Nursing Service is a Non-Profit Organization under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health.

This Service was established in 1957 by the Jamaica Trained Nurses Association now the (N.A.J.) And friends of Dr. Hyacinth Lightboure who died tragically on the PalisadoesRoad. Her work and contribution to the medical Service in Jamaica was of such enormity and so highly appreciated that this memorial in her honour was established. Dr. HyacinthLightboure was a Community Oriented Public Health Doctor whose main concern was about the care of patients when they leave hospital and needing professional care at home.
