About Holy Childhood High School
Holy Childhood High School was founded in 1929 and named after the Child Jesus. Holy Childhood High School was founded and owned by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of the Lady of Perpetual Help (FMS) in Jamaica and is fully accredited by the government of Jamaica. Holy Childhood has been able to maintain a steady balance between academics and athletics.

Boasting a campus of approximately seven (7) acres with a student population of over 1700 students, the school stands as a traditional Roman Catholic institution with a rich history spanning 80 years.
The school was named after the Holy Childhood of Jesus by its founders and owners – the Franciscan Missionary (Blue) Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help of Jamaica.This local Congregation of consecrated religious women was founded on September 08, 1929 to meet the spiritual and social needs of the Jamaican Society at the time: pastoral care, evangelization, health care and education.
To this end, Holy Childhood High School continues to fulfill the mission of its founders by “witnessing to God’s presence in our world as a sign of hope to all but especially to the poor… To be a caring, loving presence… attesting to the dignity of womanhood and thereby touching all areas of human life” (Franciscan Missionary Sisters Mission Statement).
