The property was part of the Barnett Estate before the lands were sold. The Barnett estate is owned and operated by the Kerr-Jarretts, one of Jamaica’s oldest families for many generations.  It all started when Colonel Nicholas Jarrett came to Jamaica in 1655 with the British army to capture the Island from the Spaniards.
