OUR HISTORY
Birth of the Havendale Mission
The idea of starting an Anglican Mission to serve the residents of the Havendale/Meadowbrook area was conceived in February 1963.  The Lord Bishop of Jamaica, the Rt. Rev. Percival Gibson visited the area and held discussions with community members.   The mission officially began on Palm Sunday, 7th April , 1963 with Rev. E Don Taylor officiating at the first service which was attended by 52 persons.

Erection of the Church and Church Hall

The mission grew over the years and then a suitable parcel of land was identified for the church hall. Construction commenced in November 1964 and was completed in March 1965.  Construction of the church began in June 1973 and was completed in 1974 with the building being consecrated in 1983.
