How this ranking was compiled
Data date: Friday, 16 October 2026, the latest trading day available when this page was updated on 18 October 2026. This is a dated snapshot; figures will change with subsequent trading.
Scope: Companies with Jamaican-dollar ordinary shares on the JSE Main Market, including cross-listed companies. Preference shares, funds and duplicate USD listings are excluded. Each company appears once. Massy and Guardian are based in Trinidad and Tobago, so this is a ranking of companies listed on the JSE rather than only companies incorporated in Jamaica.
Method: Companies are ordered by the JSE’s “Market Value of Shares Outstanding.” Market capitalisation is based on share price and ordinary shares outstanding. Displayed closing prices are rounded, so multiplying them by the share count can differ slightly from the exchange’s reported market value. NCB Financial Group and its subsidiary Guardian Holdings are separately listed and appear separately.
Measures: Closing price, shares outstanding, 52-week price range, year-to-date price change and daily price change come from the JSE. YTD price change is not a dividend-inclusive total return. The former 2022 dividend yields, performance figures and market weightings have been replaced with dated 2026 measures.
What changed: Carreras, TransJamaican Highway, West Indies Petroleum Terminal and Caribbean Cement enter this top 10 compared with this article’s original 2022 list. GraceKennedy, Supreme Ventures, Wisynco and JMMB Group are outside the current top 10.
