Established in 1971 and still going strong, Going Places Travel now offers a range of travel related services including air reservations, hotel reservations, car reservations, group handling, cruise bookings, customized tour packages, tickets/packages, travel insurance and more. The company, known today as Going Places Travel, started in 1971 in Grenada by Major Alan Batson and his wife Hazelann under the name Grenada International Travel Services. Soon after, another office opened in Alan’s home country Barbados under the name Barbados International Travel Services. In 1998, Alan and Hazelann sold the travel company to a business partner who had invested with them in a regional airline, Bernard Weatherhead. Shortly after, an expansion drive to grow the company further across the Caribbean began. Today Going Places Travel is located in several Caribbean territories and the USA: Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bequia, Carriacou, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Florida, USA. They have a global network of offices and will ensure that you as a traveller have full access to their company worldwide.
