Description:
In 1960, Edwin, along with a small staff including Keith Albury, relocated his business to the harbour’s edge. Darvin Sands joined them as they went on to construct vessels of various sizes and styles with a high standard of workmanship. In 1969, Blake Albury started working with them.
Edwin soon saw a need for facilities more than boat construction and transformed his business into a dry dock and storage yard where he offered repairs and maintenance.
In 1976, Edwin expanded the business by purchasing William H. Albury Shipbuilders from the family of the late William H. Albury. It is now known as EBY #2. Edwin (deceased 1995), along with his partners Keith, Blake and Darvin (deceased 2005) continued with top quality services at both locations. At this time they went on to manufacture the famous EBY runabouts.
Today both yards are in full operation offering hauling (up to 65 feet or 50 tons), repairs & maintenance, dry storage, dockage and mooring rentals. The office is located at yard #1 where you will find the most well stocked marine store in Abaco. Keith, Blake, Chad and their staff are ready to serve all your boating needs.
