The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) is recruiting customer-focused Sales Assistants for its new Things Jamaican store in Montego Bay, St. James. The store showcases authentic Jamaican gifts, craft, food and fashion to local customers and visitors.

Role overview

• Provide product information and assist customers with purchases.
• Create product displays and maintain a welcoming, professional store environment.
• Conduct daily stock counts, cashiering, reconciliations and daily lodgments.
• Help monitor inventory, compile expiry and damage reports, and execute store promotions.

Qualifications and skills

• At least five CXC/CSEC subjects.
• At least one year of experience in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment.
• Skills in selling, communication, cash management and inventory tracking.
• Formal customer service training and knowledge of Jamaican culture or products would be assets.
