CREDIT OFFICER

Requirements – Credit Officer

• First Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Management Studies along with 2 years of experience performing credit functions

or

• Diploma in Accounts or Business Administration or Management Studies along with 4 years working experience, minimum of 2 performing credit functions at a supervisory level

• Knowledge of Credit management and risk assessment
• Ability to analyse data, solve problems and exercise good judgement
• High level of integrity
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work quickly under pressure and focus on details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software applications – QuickBooks a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives
2. Properly motivate the credit and collections staff
3. Measure department performance with appropriate metrics
4. Maintain the corporate credit policy
5. Monitor the credit granting and updating process
6. Visit the customers to establish relations
7. Monitor periodic credit reviews
8. Initiating legal or other recovery actions against customers who are delinquent.
