Assistant Stock Custodian

Location: Savanna-la-Mar

Job Summary

Supports the Stock Custodian in the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and monitoring of inventory. The role helps maintain accurate stock records, ensures safe and organised storage, assists with stock counts, reports discrepancies, and supports effective inventory control.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Accounting and/or at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Passing grade in CSEC Mathematics.

Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and strong numerical skills.
• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, reliability, confidentiality, and responsibility.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and stoop or bend as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, store, transfer, and issue products in accordance with Company procedures.
• Maintain custody of storerooms, freezers, and cold rooms.
• Check and record food transfers and ensure wholesale orders are verified before delivery.
• Check and issue food, beverages, and dry goods to team members promptly.
• Ensure stock is properly labelled, organised, and stored.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock counts and valuations, and prepare required reports.
• Complete all required inventory system entries accurately and on time.
• Maintain clean, organised storage areas in compliance with health and safety requirements.
