Technician

Role Summary

A skilled Technician is needed to perform installations, repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies sold or serviced by the company.

Applicants must demonstrate a high level of integrity on and off the job and must have held a General Driver’s Licence for at least two years.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment sold or serviced by the company.
• Diagnose equipment and software problems, isolate issues and provide timely solutions.
• Provide technical service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.
• Manage on-site installations, repairs, maintenance and related tasks while working safely and according to schedule.
• Own a complete set of tools based on the company’s approved list. The company may assist with acquiring tools.
• Operate company vehicles safely and ensure assigned vehicles are properly maintained and kept clean.
• Prepare timely and detailed service reports with supporting documentation.
• Cooperate with the technical team and share relevant information across the organization.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and Service Department.
• Build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• UTech Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, an equivalent qualification, or certification in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering field.
• Passes in CXC Mathematics and English A.

Experience

• At least one year of proven field-service experience.

Knowledge

• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
• Statistical knowledge for analysis and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
