DR.CABENDA

Dr. Cabenda was born on May 4, 1957 in Aruba and raised in Aruba, Suriname and the Netherlands. He entered Medical School at the University of Leiden (the Netherlands) in 1977, and graduated in 1983. In 1984 ENT and Head and Neck surgery training commenced at the Free Academic University Hospital of Amsterdam (Professors: Prof G. Snow, Prof. L. Feenstra, Prof. Dr. R.. Tiwari) where he graduated in 1989 as, ENT and HEAD AND NECK Surgeon. During and after his training, numerous courses were followed.

Head and Neck surgery at Antonie van Leeuwenhoek Hospital,Prof. Dr. Balm. Different courses, including courses in rhinoplasty, cosmetic plastic surgery ,reconstructive surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery. Reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the Nose and Face, Prof. Nolst Trenite, AMC , the Netherlands. Course in Microsurgery techniques, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.Clinical training course on prosthetic vocal and pulmonary rehabilitation after total laryngectomy, Post graduate course in Traumatology and the management of the acute injured patient, course in soft tissue surgery, course in drug abuse , course in contour Threadlift in aesthetic facial surgery.

As of 1989, Dr. Cabenda opened his own practice in Aruba. He is the Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Horacio Oduber Hospital in Aruba. In 2005, the KNO CLINIC and Aruba’s Center for Cosmetic Surgery was opened featuring a state-of-the-art Surgical Suite.

Dr. Cabenda is member of the Dutch ENT and HEAD AND NECK Association of the Netherlands and is secretary of the foundation of the sensory hearing impaired and the deaf ( FEPO). Dr. Cabenda is the chairman of the negotiation committee of the Aruban specialist association VMSA.
